Why do I need Motorcycle Insurance?

Whether you're an avid enthusiast or a first-time rider, touring cross-country or across town, having fun and protecting yourself financially is what it’s all about. Motorcycle insurance policies are designed around the unique exposure faced by owners, typically combining both liability and physical damage into a comprehensive policy. A specialized motorcycle insurance policy also means security and protection for both you and your investment.

When you drive, you are responsible for the safety of your passengers, your fellow drivers, other people's property, pedestrians and yourself. Motorcycle insurance helps you live up to that responsibility by ensuring your ability to cover the costs of potential damages or injuries. It also provides the financial responsibility requirement mandated by most states. Often, insurance is even a prerequisite to registering your motorcycle.
